Description

The MEAN WELL BIC-2200-12 is a 2.2kW AC/DC bidirectional power supply designed for applications where power needs to move between an AC grid and a 12VDC battery or DC load system. In AC to DC mode, it functions as a power supply or charger, converting grid power into a regulated 12VDC output with a 180A rated current and 2160W rated power. In DC to AC mode, it can recycle DC energy back to the AC grid, helping support energy recovery and test applications where returned energy can reduce wasted power. Built in a compact 1U low-profile case, the BIC-2200-12 features full digital control, 180-264VAC input, 47-63Hz operation, ultra-fast 1ms switching between AC/DC and DC/AC conversion, active current sharing for higher power systems, and protection against anti-islanding, AC fail, DC overvoltage, overload, overcurrent and overtemperature. With typical efficiency up to 90% in AC to DC operation and 90.5% in DC to AC operation, the BIC-2200-12 is suitable for battery formation and grading, V2G systems, battery charging modules, kinetic energy recovery systems and other energy recycling applications requiring a 12V bidirectional power platform.
